This will be a difficult topic, because I am NOT a fan of this protected activity, and we bet you aren’t either. But today we have to discuss burning the American flag as a form a political expression. Washington Gun Law President, William Kirk, explains the history that led to where we sit today, which is that despite how offensive the desecration of the American flag will be for most of us, it IS Constitutionally protected free speech and there really is very little doubt about that. We know that President Trump has pushed for legislation to make this activity illegal and criminal in nature. But trust us, it’s been done before and it’s always ended up the same way.
