Washington Gun Law President, William Kirk, discusses two huge rulings from last week, one from Maryland the other from Oregon, which both struck down pre-purchasing licensing laws in those respective states. They say a right delayed is a right denied and in these instances, both Courts agreed with that sentiment. But now, does the same logic need to apply to America’s most sinister state, Illinois? After all, they have over 2.4 million residents who have had to obtain a FOID card (a permission slip) before they can even attempt to purchase a firearm.
