The State Forcing Its Gun Owners to Incriminate Themselves

Washington Gun Law President, William Kirk, discusses, once again, the Illinois assault weapon ban and the requirement that all owners of now banned “assault weapons” register those firearms with the state or face seizure. News came out over the weekend that Illinois State Police is now accepting applications for your firearms registration. BUT, did anyone ever stop to think that registering that you own and possess firearms which are now illegal (since the law had an immediate enactment clause) actually forces an individual to incriminate themselves? And if that’s not strange enough, can you believe that the People’s Republic of Washington has already addressed this issue AND found a similar law unconstitutional? Learn about all of these amazing occurrences and arm yourself with education today.
