Washington Gun Law President, William Kirk, discusses yesterday’s passage, by the U.S. House of Representatives of H.R. Res. 44, originally sponsored by Rep. Clyde, of Georgia, which is passed into law, would eviscerate ATF’s new rule on firearms with attached stabilizing braces. While this vote should have happened weeks ago, it is a nice moral victory, but that’s all it will ever be. You see, there is no political or mathematical way that H.R. Res 44 ever becomes law, even if it passes out of the Senate. So learn what all of this means, and doesn’t mean to you, and arm yourself with education.
